Education

I believe every child in District 4 deserves access to a strong, quality education that prepares them for real life. With over 30 years as an early childhood educator, I've seen what works and what doesn't. We can't continue to measure success by how much we spend, but instead by the results we see in our classrooms. Our students deserve to read, write, and succeed at grade level, and our schools should be focused on delivering those outcomes.

I support empowering parents and strengthening local control because the people closest to our students know their needs best. Education decisions shouldn't be dictated by one-size-fits-all policies from Santa Fe. I believe in giving families more options, supporting teachers in the classroom, and ensuring schools have the flexibility to meet the unique needs of our rural communities.

I'm also committed to preparing our students for success beyond graduation. That means expanding career and technical education, supporting pathways into skilled trades, and ensuring students are ready for college or the workforce. When we invest in practical, results-driven education, we strengthen not just our schools but the future of District 4.
